Eric has been wounded in the act of saving Perseus from Emrys. Myrddin intervenes to prevent Emrys carrying through on his murderous intentions, but Eric's life remains in danger....
Perseus: Myrddin, I know you are a mage. Surely you can do something? Please, save him!
Myrddin: I... I can try....
Myrddin: I have but little talent with healing magic, but I will do my best.
Myrddin: *weakly* It's no good... I'm not strong enough....

Perseus: No more, thank God.
Eric: Myrddin! Is he- ?
Emrys: Exhausted, but he'll be fine. It takes much out of him to channel so much power. it has ever been thus. I have raw power, but little control. He is very skilled, but his own resources of power are small and easily exhausted. But together we are unstoppable.
Emrys: My brother's words and deeds have spared your miserable existance for now, vampire. But do not think this is over. Your blood will be upon my blade yet...
Emrys: ... I swear it.
